This Privacy Policy explains how Gelosa collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our iOS application. By using Gelosa, you agree to this Policy.

1. Who we are

Gelosa is a sleep and wellness app that offers relaxing soundscapes, curated bedtime stories, a sleep journal (including optional voice memos), a community space (Dreamers’ Circle), and optional AI Sleep Story generation powered by Dream Tokens.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the App, we may process the following categories of data:

• Account data — a device-linked account identifier created at login to sign you in and keep your session.
• Profile data — nickname and profile avatar you choose.
• User content — community posts, comments, sleep journal entries (mood, duration, notes), optional dream voice memos, favorites, and generated stories you create.
• AI generation inputs — theme and narrator selections you submit to create an AI Sleep Story (and related generation parameters).
• Purchase data — product identifiers and transaction records related to consumable Dream Token purchases processed by Apple.
• Device & diagnostics — device identifiers, app version, and basic technical logs needed for security, crash diagnosis, and service quality.
• Advertising / attribution data — if you grant App Tracking Transparency permission, we may measure installs and campaign performance to improve sleep features.

3. How we use information

• Provide core features: login, soundscape playback, journaling, community interactions, AI story generation, and Dream Token balance management.
• Process AI Sleep Story requests by sending your selected theme and narrator to our story generation service and returning the result to your device.
• Process in-app purchases through Apple StoreKit and credit virtual Dream Tokens.
• Improve product stability, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
• Measure marketing performance when tracking is authorized.

4. Local storage

Many Gelosa features store data primarily on your device, including nickname and avatar, Dream Token balance, favorites, sleep journal entries and voice memos, community posts/likes/comments/blocks, and generated story text and cover images. Deleting the App or using Delete Account will remove this local data as described in the App.

5. AI generation & processing

When you create a Sleep Story, your selected theme and narrator are transmitted to our story generation service so that a bedtime story (and optional cover image) can be created. Inputs are used to fulfill your request and for related security/abuse prevention. The resulting story may be saved locally on your device. Please do not include personal data you do not want processed in any free-text fields you may provide.

We do not sell your personal information.

Generation is optional. On first use, the App shows an “About Sleep Stories” notice describing temporary processing.

6. Permissions

• Photo Library — choose a photo for your sleep profile avatar.
• Camera — take a photo for your sleep profile avatar.
• Microphone — record a short voice memo for your sleep journal dream notes; browsing and playback do not require it.
• Tracking — optional; used only after you allow tracking to measure installs and campaign performance for sleep features.

You can change permissions in iOS Settings at any time. Denying a permission may limit related features.

7. Sharing of information

We may share information with:

• Service providers — hosting, security, and the story generation infrastructure that processes data on our behalf.
• Apple — for session infrastructure where applicable and for in-app purchase processing.
• Legal authorities — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of the service.

We do not sell personal information to data brokers.

8. Data retention

Account and server-side operational logs are retained only as long as needed for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required by law. Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, delete your account, or uninstall the App. Temporary generation payloads are not intended for long-term storage beyond providing the feature.

9. Children’s privacy

Gelosa is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

10. Your choices

• Edit profile information in the App.
• Control camera/photos/microphone/tracking permissions in iOS Settings.
• Stop using AI generation or community features at any time.
• Log out or delete your account from Settings (Delete Account clears local business data and signs you out).
• Contact us to ask questions about this Policy.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information in transit and on device. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

12. International users

If you access Gelosa from outside the region where our servers or providers operate, your information may be processed in other countries that may have different data-protection laws.

13. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
